I have long believed that workforce development is a team sport. It thrives on collaboration, effectively connecting talent to opportunities across the diverse landscapes of the East Cascades Workforce Area, encompassing rural, frontier, and urban communities.
East Cascades Works plays a crucial role in developing a local talent pipeline by aligning and supporting the systems and programs that serve our population—from youth to adults as they pursue career attachment and advancement. The development of our workforce relies heavily on robust education and training systems, fostering growth from early childhood through to professional advancement.
Moreover, effective workforce development initiatives must be responsive to the evolving needs of our local employers. After all, the ultimate goal of developing a skilled workforce is to create a talent pool that meets the demands of employers hiring.
