WRAP (Wellness Recovery Action Plan) is a self-directed wellness plan that helps older adults get well, stay well, and live their lives the way they want. As an evidence-based practice, WRAP is a group intervention model to address behavioral health concerns for older adults.

Training Details

To become a certified WRAP facilitator within your community, you must attend two seminars: Session I is four half days virtual, and Session II is in-person, three full days training.

WRAP Seminars I & II guide you in tools to facilitate a WRAP program and will certify you as a WRAP facilitator. Once trained, WRAP facilitated groups average two hours per week for eight weeks with an average of 4-6 participants per group, held in senior community centers throughout Oregon. The structure of the groups (duration and frequency) can be flexible depending on the interest of the participants.

The WRAP facilitator training will be held on the following dates and you must be able to attend all of the training, both virtual and in-person:

  • Seminar I, Live virtual: October 12-15, 9am-1:30pm
  • Seminar II, In-person at Redmond Senior Center: Oct. 27-29, 8:30am-5pm

Location: Redmond Senior Center, 325 Northwest Dogwood Avenue, Redmond, Oregon 97756.

Travel support may be available if you are outside the Central Oregon region and interested in starting a WRAP group within your community senior center.

*Training to become a facilitator is provided at no cost thanks to a grant from the U.S. Administration for Community Living (ACL)*
