We are excited to share the culmination of a collective effort: the East Cascades Works Strategic Plan for 2024-2029, which has now received approval from our board. This plan will actively guide the efforts of EC Works’ board, staff, and contractors as we work to fuel a thriving economy across our region.

Development of our strategic plan took place between Fall 2023 and Spring 2024 in partnership with the Coraggio Group. The process was rooted in community engagement; we collected input from a wide range of 135 stakeholders including business leaders, post-secondary education partners, local and state level economic development leaders, workforce development partners, elected local and regional officials, non-profit and governmental agency partners, and members of the EC Works and COWC Boards. We also reviewed the strategic plans of key partners from across our region. The synthesis of this feedback, as well as listening sessions in each of our subregions, provided valuable insights that shaped our strategic direction.

A special thanks is due to everyone who participated in this process by offering your expertise and perspectives. Your contributions were instrumental in refining our vision, mission, values, and the four strategic priorities that will guide us for the next five years.
