Program Summary

The Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) Adult and Dislocated Worker program is a federally funded initiative designed to empower adults over 18 in overcoming employment challenges and securing sustainable employment through our partnership with WorkSource Oregon. Operating under WIOA, the program focuses on two distinct workforce segments: adults seeking re-training and upskilling in preparation for reentry into the job market, and dislocated workers facing sudden job loss due to factors such as layoffs, plant closures, or economic shifts. The program provides a range of essential services, including scholarships for tailored training programs, free skill-building workshops, career exploration and counseling, rapid response lay-off services, job placement assistance, On-the-Job training, and retraining opportunities. By addressing the specific needs of these groups, the WIOA Adult and Dislocated Worker program plays a crucial role in fostering economic resilience, reducing unemployment, and promoting the overall well-being of individuals and communities.
